Hardware Showcase (Apple Vision Pro)
On Apple Vision Pro, the Hardware Showcase is a room you step into to see Meshtastic radios at their real size. Open it with the storefront button in the round glass menu under the app's tab bar. The app's window closes while you're in the room.
Display tables
Real-size 3D models of the radios we have models for stand on clear stands along five tables that step up toward the back wall, one maker after another: RAKwireless and muzi works on the front table, then Seeed Studio, Elecrow, Heltec and LILYGO. Each maker's run of radios starts with a dark card with its name. A small card in front of each model gives the maker and the device's name.
- Pick one up: pinch and hold a model's body to lift it. It's real size. Turn your hand to turn it over, or use both hands to rotate it. Let go and it goes back on its stand. Antennas don't catch the pinch, so you can reach past a tall one to the model behind it.
The models are built from each device's published measurements. Backs, sides and ports are modeled where the maker publishes enough to go on.
The wall rack
The radios on your mesh, the one you're connected to included, are on the wall rack above the back table, one per square. They light up when they're heard and dim when they go offline. Tap a radio to see its card, with Open in App to go to its node in the app.
Control panel
The panel by the front table shows how many radios are in the room.
- Seated / Standing: matches the room to how you're using it. Switching also puts the panel back in its place.
- Show App / Hide App: brings back the app's window, or closes it again.
- Rack pages: when the mesh has more radios than the rack has squares, the arrows page through them.
- Move it: pinch the bar under the panel and drag it wherever you want it.
- Leave: closes the room and brings back the app's window.
The room also closes when you leave the app.
