Seeed Wio Tracker L2 Pro

Seeed Wio Tracker L2 Pro

The Wio Tracker L2 Pro is a standalone Meshtastic node with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, built on the ESP32ESP32A chipset of microcontroller made/designed by Espressif, used by a number of devices. Higher power usage than nRF52, but often cheaper and supports Wi-Fi if desired.-S3 and a Semtech SX1262SX1262A Semtech sub-GHz LoRa transceiver, used in most current Meshtastic hardware and recommended over the older SX127x series.. GNSSGNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). A multi-constellation satellite positioning receiver. Hardware listing GNSS support typically receives GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and QZSS., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an SD card for offline maps let it send messages and show positions without a phone.

Specifications

  • MCUMCU (Microcontroller Unit). The microcontroller that runs the firmware on a device. The hardware tables list the MCU for each supported board.
    • ESP32ESP32A chipset of microcontroller made/designed by Espressif, used by a number of devices. Higher power usage than nRF52, but often cheaper and supports Wi-Fi if desired.-S3 (Seeed Wio-S3 module)
      • 16 MB flash, 8 MB PSRAM
      • Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz b/g/n
      • Bluetooth 5.0 LE
  • LoRaLoRaA low-power, long-range wireless communication technology used by Meshtastic devices to enable communication over distances of several kilometers without the need for cellular, Wi-Fi, or other traditional network infrastructures. Transceiver
    • Semtech SX1262SX1262A Semtech sub-GHz LoRa transceiver, used in most current Meshtastic hardware and recommended over the older SX127x series.
  • Frequency Options
    • 863–928 MHzMHz (Megahertz). A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz (cycles per second), used to specify the operating frequency of LoRa devices in the Meshtastic network, affecting range and data rate.
  • Navigation Module
    • L76K GNSSGNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). A multi-constellation satellite positioning receiver. Hardware listing GNSS support typically receives GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and QZSS. (GPSGPS (Global Positioning System). A satellite positioning system. A node with a GPS module determines its own location and can report that position to the mesh., BeiDou, GLONASS, QZSS)
  • Display
    • 3.2-inch 320 × 240 touchscreen
  • Connectors
    • USBUSB (Universal Serial Bus). The wired connection used to power a device, flash firmware onto it, and communicate with it over serial.-C
    • Grove
    • SD card slot

Features

  • The release firmware runs Meshtastic UI on the touchscreen, and BaseUI is available from the settings menu.
  • Offline maps load from the SD card.
  • The Grove connector takes I²CI2CA two-wire bus used to attach peripherals such as sensors and displays to a device. sensors such as the BME280 and SHT31.
  • An audio codec and amplifier play notification tones.
