Heltec Capsule Sensor Rev. 3.0
- MCUMCU (Microcontroller Unit). The microcontroller that runs the firmware on a device. The hardware tables list the MCU for each supported board.:
- ESP32ESP32A chipset of microcontroller made/designed by Espressif, used by a number of devices. Higher power usage than nRF52, but often cheaper and supports Wi-Fi if desired.-S3FN8 (WiFi & Bluetooth)
- LoRaLoRaA low-power, long-range wireless communication technology used by Meshtastic devices to enable communication over distances of several kilometers without the need for cellular, Wi-Fi, or other traditional network infrastructures. Transceiver:
- Semtech SX1262SX1262A Semtech sub-GHz LoRa transceiver, used in most current Meshtastic hardware and recommended over the older SX127x series.
- Frequency Options:
- 433 MHzMHz (Megahertz). A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz (cycles per second), used to specify the operating frequency of LoRa devices in the Meshtastic network, affecting range and data rate.
- 470 - 510 MHzMHz (Megahertz). A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz (cycles per second), used to specify the operating frequency of LoRa devices in the Meshtastic network, affecting range and data rate.
- 863 - 870 MHzMHz (Megahertz). A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz (cycles per second), used to specify the operating frequency of LoRa devices in the Meshtastic network, affecting range and data rate.
- 902 - 928 MHzMHz (Megahertz). A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz (cycles per second), used to specify the operating frequency of LoRa devices in the Meshtastic network, affecting range and data rate.

How to upload firmware

Capsule Sensor V3 uses WirelessBoot mode to upload firmware, exchange information, and print logs through WiFi. That is, whether you update the firmware locally or via the Web, You need to get the device into WirelessBoot state first.

Touch button/Physical button differences

Because the touch button is easy to accidentally activate while close to metal or in your pocket, Heltec has discontinued production of this version. However, a small number of samples have entered the market.

- Antenna filter values physical-button version (L11 = 1.8pF, C15 = 2.7nH, C24 = 1.8pF) align more closely with ESP32ESP32A chipset of microcontroller made/designed by Espressif, used by a number of devices. Higher power usage than nRF52, but often cheaper and supports Wi-Fi if desired.-S3 reference design than touch-button version (L11 = 1.6nH, C15 = 6.9pF, C24 = 2.4pF).
